D-FAUST

D-Days summer 2011

Born in Luxembourg in 1977, D-Faust has always been into music. He started playing guitar at age 12, which naturally led him play music with friends of him. Later on, he discovered New Wave music through Depeche Mode, Front 242 & Nitzer EBB, which still today influences his style.

He discovered his passion for Electronic Music in 1993 at the best club ever for him in Luxemburg, the “Casablanca” (with its residents DJ’s Marino Berardi and Luis Botella, just to name a few).

Late 90’s, he began organizing private parties, where he started mixing for friends. In 2001, he organized parties with his cousin M@rio C., friend Ben Deane and his brother LuKa. This was made possible through his cousin’s Asbl D-Tech productions, whose main goal was to revive this musical culture in Luxembourg and South Belgium. At these parties, D-Faust had the opportunity to mix with DJ Pierre (Fuse resident), Trish & Kash (Ex-Fuse residents), Stanny Franssen, TC Brain & Xentrix, among others. In 2002, he won a DJ contest that allowed him to mix at the Decadance Underground Club in Gent (Belgium).

2003, D-Tech Production’s reputation in Luxembourg & Southern Belgium led them to meet residents from the Cafedelagare. They then joined the Rythmix Booking agency, which hosted DJ’s like Tonio, Xentrix, TC Brain, Mark Netty… .

D-Faust mixed in numerous clubs and met several artists.

Since 2007, D-Faust has taken a break to take care of his son, as well as some other different projects. At the end of 2010, he decides to come back to music, more motivated than ever, with a more defined Tech-house style and with the ambition to produce his own music!
